Your soil is storing carbon. Get paid for it.
Terrabit handles the science and paperwork — you focus on farming. Enroll your acreage and start generating verified carbon credits.
Start EnrollmentBuilt for farmers, not bureaucrats
Carbon credit programs have a reputation for paperwork complexity. Terrabit is designed to remove that burden entirely.
New revenue stream
Carbon credits generate income from the same land you're already farming. A 1,200-acre enrollment at Heartland Family Farm produced 340 tCO₂e/year — representing $6,120–$10,200 in annual carbon revenue at current market rates, plus the per-acre enrollment structure that starts paying from year one.
No disruption to operations
Terrabit's field team handles all soil sampling. You provide field access during sampling campaigns, typically 1–2 days per year. Your farming operations continue uninterrupted. There are no required changes to your practice — enrollment is based on practices you're already doing.
Full data ownership
All soil data collected from your land remains yours. Terrabit holds a limited license for verification purposes only. You receive a complete data export at contract end. We do not aggregate or resell your farm-level data. Your data is your asset.
Transparent methodology
You always know exactly how your credits are calculated. Terrabit publishes its full methodology, provides a detailed SOC report after each sampling campaign, and shows you precisely what data went into every credit package. No black boxes, no approximations presented as precision.
Is your farm a good fit?
Terrabit focuses on Midwest regenerative agriculture. Here's what we look for.
Minimum 200 enrolled acres
The minimum ensures enough credit volume to cover baseline sampling and registry costs while delivering meaningful revenue to you. Smaller operations can pool through cooperative programs.
Practicing cover crops, no-till, or compost application
At least one active soil-building practice must be in place. Cover cropping and no-till are the most common among our enrolled farms. Compost application qualifies on a case-by-case basis depending on volume and frequency.
US Midwest geography preferred
Our satellite calibration models and field team operations are optimized for Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Missouri. We evaluate other Midwest states on request. Currently not accepting enrollments outside the contiguous Midwest region.
3-year commitment period
Carbon credits require a commitment period during which enrolled practices must be maintained. The 3-year term allows meaningful SOC accumulation measurement and provides enough credit volume for both baseline recovery and net grower revenue. Renewal is available at contract end.
How enrollment works
Four straightforward steps. We handle the complexity.
Get in touch
Contact Terrabit with your acreage, location, and current practices. We'll confirm eligibility and schedule an enrollment call — usually within a week.
Baseline assessment
Our field team visits, takes soil samples, and sets up satellite monitoring. You get a full baseline SOC report. No cost to you for the assessment — it's included in the enrollment program.
Annual monitoring
Each year (or every two years), our team returns for a sampling campaign. Combined with continuous satellite monitoring, we track your SOC trajectory through the season.
Credits issued, revenue paid
Verified credits are issued to your account on the registry. When credits sell (directly or through broker channels), you receive your revenue share after Terrabit's 12% service fee.
